WELCOME TO BAYFIELD ANIMAL HOSPITAL

We are a small animal practice located in downtown Bayfield Colorado. A small town nestled in the Pine River Valley surrounded by mountains and rural agricultural land. We opened our doors in 1980. Since then, we have provided a comprehensive medical and surgical care.

Bayfield Animal Hospital is a well-established, full-service, small animal and exotic veterinary hospital providing comprehensive medical, surgical and dental care to dogs, cats and exotic pets. We provide a broad spectrum of diagnostic procedures using state of the art equipment, in hospital laboratory for immediate results, or external lab services for routine or specialized tests.  The facility includes a well-stocked pharmacy, in-hospital surgery suite, in-house x-ray capabilities, a closely supervised hospitalization area, and separate dog and cat kennel areas for the comfort of our patients.

Due to the large volume of patients, all routine appointments are being scheduled 5 to 6 weeks out. Please plan accordingly.

FYI:

There has been a severe strain of Kennel Cough (Bordetella) reported around the Denver area. Usually, Kennel Cough is fairly mild and easy to treat however this particular strain appears to be very difficult to treat and has resulted in many sick dogs. If traveling to the Front Range, consider not bringing your dog with you. If you have to travel with your dog, please get the Bordetella vaccine as soon as possible and attempt to keep your dog away from other dogs and places where dogs visit frequently.
